One of the spots we were scheduled to visit on our cross country tour was A Lodge on the Desert in Las Cruces NM. A romantic, private, and totally secluded bed and breakfast in the West Mesa Desert, the Lodge comes fully equipped with everything to take your desert trip from vacant to lush and full.

A Lodge on the Desert allows you beautiful, sweeping vistas in all directions. Being that this place is situated high up on a mountain top, you are allowed to see down and around in every which way. From your perch you can view the Rio Grande River, the Mesilla Valley farmland, the mountains around you; as well you can see into the sparkly Las Cruces nightfall as it twinkles below your feet.

Las Cruces favorite bed and breakfast also has elegant suites. Every room at the Lodge on the Desert comes fully equipped with its own private entrance, bath, kitchen, and patio. If you are wondering how the rest of the room is they come equipped with fine, soft linens which you can just melt away to sleep inside; the tiles in much of the property are all classically trimmed.

When you're staying at A Lodge on the Desert you can bet that you will receive first class treatment. There is continental breakfast, snacks available all day and night, and there is always plenty of room for your party big or small. If you are trying to set up some kind of a destination excursion, reunion, wedding, or other type of party in the area, A Lodge on the Desert is willing and ready to help you with every last detail.

If you have an RV, there is plenty of parking available. In fact The Lodge is surrounded by some 26 acres of vacant desert so the only thing you may be interrupting is the desert life. The setting is wild, but safe and if you look west you will see another 200 acres or so that are just fully vacant. During the daylight hours this allows for walks, hikes, and lazy stares form your favorite comfy chair; at night the impressive vistas take you into a total other world of peace and serenity.

As homage to their past, A Lodge on the Desert does not take credit cards; though personal checks are welcome. Many of the rooms are pet friendly so you and rover can come on over and see what A Lodge on the Desert has to offer for your vacationing options.
